About Three Degrees

Three Degrees is a daily Valorant teammate puzzle. The first pro is on the left, the second already waits at the right end. Fill the players in between, one teammate at a time. Two players are teammates if they played the same map on the same team. Three levels a day.

How to play

  • Each day has three puzzles: Easy, Medium and Hard, with at least 1, 2 or 3 players in between the two pros. Every puzzle can be solved through long-time teammates.
  • The first pro is on the left and the target already waits at the right end. Fill the empty slots from left to right: each player must be a teammate of the one before. As soon as your last player is a teammate of the target, the chain connects and the level is solved.
  • You can type any player: only a real teammate fills the slot, and a wrong one counts as a mistake.
  • Teammates means they played the same map on the same team in a tier 1 VCT match. The label between two names shows the team and season they shared most recently.
  • Stuck? “Show teammates” lists the last player’s teammates, most maps played together first; your share text will say you used it. Tap × on any player to remove them and everyone after.
  • Took a longer way? A new slot opens before the target, up to 4 more players than the fewest. Give up shows one way with the fewest in between.
  • Solve all three to keep your streak. Practice mode serves random puzzles that do not count.

FAQ

What is Three Degrees?

A daily puzzle for Valorant esports fans: connect two VCT pros through a chain of teammates. Easy, Medium and Hard have 1, 2 and 3 players in between, and the fewer extra players you use, the better your score.

What counts as teammates?

Two players are teammates if they played the same map on the same team in a tier 1 VCT match. Being on the same roster is not enough: they have to have been on the server together.

When does the puzzle reset?

At midnight Beijing time (00:00 UTC+8, 16:00 UTC). Everyone gets the same three puzzles that day.

How are the puzzles chosen?

Both ends are well-known pros with at least 50 tier 1 maps who played in the current or the previous season, and each puzzle is picked so its shortest route runs through long-time teammates (at least 20 maps together): a route a fan can reason out.

Is it free?

Yes, free and with no account. Progress and streaks are saved in your own browser.

Can I play past puzzles or practice?

Only today’s three puzzles count toward your streak, and there is no archive yet. Practice mode serves random puzzles at every level, as many as you like.
